Held on June 3, the webinar had two high-ranking panellists: Zeng Guang’an, Chairman of LiuGong Group and Pekka Vauramo, President and CEO of Metso Outotec Corporation. link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LU8aUOx-4I

The webinar discussed the state of the global construction equipment market, the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on the industry, what markets have strong potential for growth, touched on the opportunities presented by technology, and major trends such as urbanisation and ‘green’ sustainable construction.

Pekka Vauramo has been the President and CEO of Metso Outotec Corporation since 2020. Vauramo was appointed President and CEO of Metso in 2018. He has served as President and CEO of Finnair (2013-2018) and prior to that he has held several management positions at Cargotec and Sandvik.

Under the leadership of Zeng Guang’an, LiuGong has been one of the fastest growing construction manufacturers of the last decade. Mr. Zeng graduated from Chongqing University and started his career at LiuGong as an engineer in 1985. He has served in a number of different management positions, including Vice Chairman and President.

Both LiuGong and Metso were in the top 20 in the most recent Yellow Table – International Construction’s ranking of the world’s top 50 OEMs by sales.
